Owning a Kindle Just Got Hotter: Kindle Fire

By

And I mean this literally.

The Kindle is now in color! Kindle Fire, the newest version of Amazon's Kindle, is in color, touch screen, has video capabilities, and is just so amazing all the way around that I was willing to trade my regular Kindle in just to be able to play with a Kindle Fire for a few minutes.

iPad? No thank you!

No thank you! Kindle Fire.

Features

The Kindle Fire has a list of features that completely outdo the previous kindle versions.

  • Color screen
  • Touch screen
  • Better sound
  • Video capabilities
  • Documents including both PDF and Word formats
  • Now more appealing to children and those who prefer picture books and magazines
  • Amazon Instant Video subscriptions!
  • More memory (FREE cloud storage for all content stored on your Kindle)
  • Better games and apps!

And the best parts?

It's still only 7 inches long, light enough to hold in one hand without losing feeling (about 14 and a half ounces), AND it has an extra durable display! Still want a nifty cover? Sure go ahead. Accessories are pretty. But you don't need it! Put it alongside your keys in your bag and let it jingle around right next to your less-durable phone.

"Are you DTF? Would you like to come back to my house?" XD Watch this!

My NEEDS.

I honestly think I could gush about this certain piece of equipment all day. When I first saw an email about it, I freaked. I had JUST had to tell a family friend that a Kindle would not be ideal for her 8-year-old daughter because it lacks color. I was even going to suggest another E-Reader brand! (I KNOW. LE GASP.)

So when I read about the Kindle Fire, I immediately called her. She laughed endlessly about my nerdy bookishness, but it was so worth it! I think she's actually going to try to get her daughter one for Christmas. Think she'll buy me one, too?

Please Vote! =)

Is the Kindle Fire on YOUR Christmas Wish List for 2011?

  • YES.
  • Maybe!
  • Ummm. Probably not.
  • No way. I prefer Apple products.

As much as I love Amazon and their products, the Transformer Prime is what I'm getting. I like the keyboard, the size and the super long battery life, plus I can use all those awesome Amazon services plus some. That being said, the price is right and I think many people will go for it!

It very much depends on your needs, but for those looking to read books in colour and surf the Internet, a Kindle fire is perfect.

Thanks for SHARING.
